  1. FARMERS’ MARKET ACCESS & EQUITY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

    The Farmers’ Markets Access & Equity (FMAE) Program works to establish, implement, promote, and incentivize Federal Assistance Benefit use at farmers’ markets and other direct marketing outlets statewide. The goal of the program is to create greater healthy food choices for low-income and underserved populations and drive additional customers/income to farmers at farmers’ markets.

    The FMAE Program Coordinator performs job duties in support of the Ecology Center’s work promoting healthy food access at California farmers’ markets. The FMAE Program Coordinator also supports the work of the California Alliance of Farmers’ Markets, a newly developed group dedicated to supporting and promoting farmers’ markets in California.

  2. FARMERS’ MARKET PROGRAM MANAGER

    The Farmers’ Market Program Manager works under the supervision of the Food and Farming Program Director to oversee all Ecology Center Farmers’ Markets activities. The Farmers’ Market Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all market operations as well as directly managing the Tuesday and Saturday Farmers’ Markets. This is a full-time position with a Tuesday through Saturday workweek which involves approximately 19 hours at market and 21 hours in the office every week.

  3. ON-CALL CURBSIDE RECYCLING DRIVER

    Residential Recycling Drivers are responsible for the collection and loading, and transportation of recyclables to the materials recycling facility. Drivers must constantly lift, carry, push, and pull bins weighing 15 to 75 pounds. Bending, stooping and lifting from ground level are required constantly. Driver is required to operate a commercial vehicle through challenging residential neighborhoods. Driver must mount and dismount the vehicle for each stop by ascending or
    descending a step of 17 inch height. Driver is responsible for the inspection, minor adjustment, fueling and cleaning of their collection vehicle. Driver must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with the public and employer. Finally driver is responsible for maintaining reports and logs.
