This past November, the Ecology Center hosted the Green Gathering, in conjunction with the City of Berkeley. Every year, we feature a variety of interesting new projects that are gaining steam locally, projects that are moving us toward a better future. At the Green Gathering, Janelle Orsi gave a lively presentation on a new sector of economic activity that is growing, and the legal gray areas that it inhabits. Orsi, along with her partner Jenny Kassan, have launched the Sustainable Economies Law Center to help foster the growth of this sector, and to guide those people who are moving headlong into these new economic arrangements. This video of theirs is a great introduction to the new sustainable economy, and to the Sustainable Economies Law Center’s work.
