20130801pestJoin us on Thursday, August 8th, from 7 pm – 9 pm, at the Ecology Center to hear about solutions for managing garden pests. Recently revised, “The Gardener’s Guide to Common-Sense Pest Control” is an update of the popular book, originally published in 1995, for 21st century gardeners. This guide offers alternatives to pesticides, using Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Practical and cost-effective, these proven strategies are the safest way to control garden insects and diseases. Pollinators, waterways and people can all benefit from going pesticide-free in the garden!

Steve Ash, author of the revised book, will highlight the book’s new features, answer questions on managing individual pests and general pest management theory. Copies of the book will be for sale at this free event. Click here for more details.
