Earlier this summer, Live Real hosted thirteen people to hop on a bus and, in the spirit of the Freedom Rides of the Civil Rights era, travel across the country to expose and uplift stories from farmers, food chain workers and Food and Freedom Fighters. Read more about the Freedom Rides here.
Tonight (Thursday, September 1) at 8pm, Live Real welcomes back the thirteen Freedom Riders. Come by New Parish (579 18th Street, Oakland) to be inspired by their stories and enjoy music, poetry, and spoken word. $5-15 sliding scale; no one turned away for lack of funds.
