Join Berkeley Food Network for an exciting day filled with food, education, fun, and community as we celebrate all that makes our neighborhood special. The Community Block Party is free for all.
Join us for: – Educational talks and demos from local organizations and thought leaders – Fun hands-on activities for kids – The unveiling of our new mural Food for Thought by local artist Eduardo Pineda – Delicious bites from local food purveyors – Beer, wine, and other refreshments – Music This is the perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors, make new friends, and enjoy a day outdoors with BFN! Berkeley Food Network is a unique food distribution organization using community-centric, innovative, and collaborative approaches to address hunger and nutrition insecurity in Northern Alameda County.
We forge relationships with regional businesses and producers to source high quality, nutritious, and ethically produced foods. The food is then sorted and prepared at our West Berkeley warehouse and distributed at no cost to our neighbors through our direct service programs and to local organizations that are deeply engaged with communities in need.
