2024 EAST BAY GREEN HOME TOUR

IN-PERSON TOUR: 1 PM – 4 PM

See what your East Bay neighbors are doing with their homes to combat climate change, improve air quality, generate clean energy, conserve water, and move towards a safer, healthier, greener future.

This year’s Green Home Tour will include a virtual tour of 3 homes in the morning and an in-person tour of 10+ homes in the afternoon. See green home features, systems, and appliances up close. So many good ideas to jumpstart your own home projects!

Here’s a preview of the featured homes:

• Jenny’s ADU in Berkeley (in person) features a metal roof, outdoor bike shed for bike commuters, a shared solar PV system and heat pump water heater with the main house, Fireclay tile, and furniture made of reclaimed wood;
• Stefanie’s all-electric home in San Leandro (in person) which is surrounded by a gorgeous native garden, features heat pump mini splits, a Rheem heat pump water heater, large rainwater collection tanks, and an induction range; and
• Alice’s all-electric home in a Berkeley cohousing community (online and in person) was updated by ReBuilding Together; they installed an all-in-one heat pump HVAC, a small electric tank water heater under the kitchen counter, and a two-burner induction cooktop.
