Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library

A free urban seed project committed to increasing the capacity of our community to feed itself wholesome food by offering seeds and education. The Seed Library celebrates biodiversity through the time-honored tradition of seed saving, nurtures locally-adapted plant varieties, and fosters community resilience, self-reliance and a culture of sharing. After attending an orientation or watching the on-line orientation, you can come down any time the Richmond Public Library is open and “borrow” seeds for free. Remember to “check out” seeds using the computer or logging information in the orange Membership Binder in the Edibles Cabinet. Website features seed saving information.
