The Lake Merritt Institute is a nonprofit, public interest corporation dedicated to the protection, enhancement and environmentally sound use of Lake Merritt, Oakland’s downtown natural resource. Programs include keeping the lake clean, education, aeration fountains, and lake management expertise.
