Frog Hollow Farm

Alfred and Becky Courchesne, and Sarah Coddington, have been at Frog Hollow Farm on the edge of the San Joaquin valley in Contra Costa County since 1976. The three partners run their business with the mission of stewarding the land, supporting the people who help them work the land, and contributing to the health of their local communities.

In 1976 the farm was comprised of 13 acres, and almost all of the fruit was sold through a roadside stand and u-pick operation. Since then the farm has grown to over 153 acres, and the fruit is marketed to the greater Bay Area at farmers’ markets, through a CSA program, through a growing mail-order business, and at a market and cafe inside San Francisco’s Ferry Building. The farm has not strayed from its commitment to picking truly tree-ripened fruit that is bursting with flavor.
