Ways to Give

Any donation of $40 or more includes one year of membership benefits:

• 10% discount on all merchandise at Ecology Center Store
• 20% discount on all books
• Lending Privileges at our Library
• Discounts on Ecology Center classes and events
• Invitations to special, members-only Ecology Center events

If you have a Donor Advised Fund, supporting the Ecology Center is simple. Just reach out to your fund advisor and recommend a grant to benefit the Ecology Center. When making your recommendation, please share:

• The amount of your intended contribution
• Our Federal Tax ID: 94-1703351

Many companies will match their employees’ charitable contributions—sometimes doubling or even tripling your impact! Check with your Human Resources department to see if your employer offers a matching gift program for donations to the Ecology Center.

If you’re age 70½ or older, you can make a tax-efficient gift directly from your IRA to the Ecology Center. These Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are excluded from taxable income and may count toward your required minimum distribution once you reach age 73.

You can contribute up to $100,000 per year this way. To initiate your gift, ask your IRA administrator to send a distribution directly to the Ecology Center and provide them with:

Donating appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, is an impactful way to support the Ecology Center while potentially reducing your tax liability.
