The Ecology Center EcoStore is excited to introduce our Refill Program, which began as a pilot initiative and has now transitioned into a permanent store section due to its overwhelming popularity. This new zero-waste service is designed to support your sustainable living journey. With plastic piling up in landfills, waterways, oceans, and even within our bodies, the problem is clear, “36 per cent of all plastics produced are used in packaging, including single-use plastic products for food and beverage containers, approximately 85 per cent of which ends up in landfills or as unregulated waste” (1) The issue goes beyond plastic itself; it’s our throw-away culture. To be part of the solution, we must continuously #BreakFreeFromPlastic and advocate for lasting change in the fight against plastic pollution.
