Wildlife that are being hunted to keep the parks safe for humans are declining in population and need to be protected. The Sierra Club helps to fight Congressional proposals to build dams in pristine places. Jimmy Carter uses the Antiquities Act to set aside 56 million acres in Alaska and grassroots organizations fight for the creation of seven new national parks.
