It details the plants and their habitats for each of the following regions – North Coast and Klamath Ranges, Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau, San Francisco Bay region, Central Coast and South Coast Ranges, Great Valley, Sierra Nevada, Channel Islands, Transverse Ranges, South Coast and Peninsular Ranges, and Deserts. Chapters includes photographs of selected flora and habitat from each of the regions covered.
