Come join our community for an inspired Sunday morning of good food, good people, and good news! We have been working toward environmental justice and sustainability since 1969. The Ecology Center envisions a world where human activity nurtures the ecosystems that we all depend on – a world of green cities; empowered, resilient communities; zero waste and zero toxics; equal access to healthy food; sustainable resource use; and a safe and stable climate.
Our Friendraiser Brunch is free, but an RSVP is required. There is no requirement that anyone give at the event, however, there will be an “ask.” More than anything, we want to share our amazing work with you and other folks who may not be as familiar with the Ecology Center. We will have inspiring presentations and words by Jacqueline Omania, Green Educator Leadership Award winner, and the mayor, Jesse Arreguín; there will be delicious, seasonal brunch provided by Blue Heron Catering as well as live music brought to you by AstraLogik, a band of two talented singer-songwriters.

Be a Table Captain
Thank you for your interest in being a Table Captain! As a Table Captain, you personally invite friends, family members, and colleagues who you think might resonate with the Ecology Center’s mission to attend the event and sit at your table. The brunch is a chance to share with them the work that you passionately support and to connect with our vibrant community of committed and caring people. The event is free, the food is terrific, and the program full of stimulating stories about our work. There is no requirement that anyone give at the event; it will be the Ecology Center’s job to inspire people so that they will want to give! Tables have 10 seats, but we are grateful for Table Captains who can bring any number of guests, from 5 to 10!
We will be hosting a casual, intimate reception for our Table Captains on Saturday, November 9th, from 11am-1:30pm at the Ecology Center. Executive Director Martin Bourque and board members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the table captain role, and to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
