What’s happening to my November SNAP benefits?
The federal government is shut down. Until President Trump and Congress reopen the government, millions of Californians receiving CalFresh benefits may have their benefits impacted. The federal government has not provided additional funding for these benefits. Funding is available for benefits for the month of October. However, CalFresh benefits will be delayed in November.
Will I be able to use the CalFresh benefits on my EBT card in November 2025?
As of now, you will be able to use your EBT card with your existing benefits as usual through the federal government shutdown. We will share more information if anything changes.
Can I still spend my EBT and Market Match tokens at the farmers’ market?
Yes, you will be able to continue to spend EBT and Market Match tokens at our markets, granted you redeemed them here at the Ecology Center’s Berkeley Farmers’ Markets.
Can I still use my WIC/SFMNP card at the market?
As the government shutdown continues, California WIC received additional federal funds from the USDA such that the program is projected to remain fully operational through November 30, assuming no unexpected changes at the federal government level. Authorized vendors will continue to serve WIC and SFMNP participants as usual.
