Sea to Sky Farm

Chris and Dana Laughlin founded Sea to Sky farm in the fall of 2018, starting first with their 24-acre hillside property in Bonny Doon, called the Sky Farm, and later adding 19 acres located in the healing valley along Waddell Creek, dubbed the Sea Farm. Chris, who manages daily farm operations in addition to being a loving mom to two amazing kids, is a fourth generation farmer and blazed her way into the Santa Cruz local food scene first with her stunning organic sweet potatoes and then with creamy, dreamy Hass avocados. 

With a combined background of experience in nonprofit ocean conservation, wildlife biology, old growth canopy research, backcountry guiding, and youth conservation corps work in Yosemite National Park, Chris and Dana now live their values through ecological, sustainable, organic farming. Chris utilizes a broad spectrum of practices to encourage water retention, reduce erosion, maintain healthy soil, and work in conjunction with the wild ecology framing the farmed sectors of their land.
