Edith’s Pie

Edith’s Pies began in Mike Raskin’s kitchen, inspired by the creation of a flawless key lime pie.  After having worked in savory kitchens his whole life, Mike left the restaurant world and was inspired to lean into his hobby of baking. A couple months into shelter in place orders, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike hosted a few pop-up bake sales from his home. With goals to bring comfort and share community even at a distance, the delicious pies left a mark on Raskin’s neighbors and his business took off. After acquiring a storefront in uptown Oakland in 2023, the business now has 5 full time, and 4 part time employees, all working hard to produce creative and decadent pies for the people. The team sources ingredients primarily from the farmers markets, relying on our neighbors from Riverdog Farms, Rainbow Orchard, and Rodriguez Berry Farm to provide organic produce for their seasonal menus! You can find them at the Thursday and Saturday Markets, at their storefront in uptown Oakland, or place a pre-order online to ensure your pies!
