Challenge Horticulture

Jack Wu

Challenge Horticulture, formerly known as Half Moon Bay Orchids, was established in 1996. They specialize in growing orchids such as Phalaenopsis, Oncidium, and some Cymbidium and Dendrobium. All of the orchids are grown in controlled atmosphere greenhouses to provide the best growing conditions for orchids and to reduce the need for chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Challenge Horticulture employee, Frank Wu, says, “Colorful flowers are the best part of this job. When they are blooming, they just make you happy.”
