Ready to go deeper? This course covers the Zero Waste International Alliance Global Principles, Eight Steps to Becoming a Zero Waste Community and the Zero Waste USA Assessment Tools. Also showcased are contracting and procurement best practices with mini-case studies and the USEPA’s web resource Managing and Transforming Waste Streams, which enables users to explore 100 policy and program options plus 250 examples with links to ordinances, contract language and program websites. Prerequisite: Zero Waste USA’s Introduction to Zero Waste Class ‚Äì attendance and exam. Students with a proven grasp of the subject may take the exam in lieu of taking the Intro class.
