Saturday | February 09, 2019 | 2:00 pm — 3:30 pm
Sticky Art Lab | 1682 University Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94703
With over 60% of the immune system located in our guts, promoting a balanced and diverse gut microbiota is a foundation for good health. Learn the secrets to making simple, fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, pickled vegetables, and beet kvass. You’ll roll up your sleeves and grab some Ball jars, preserving the season’s bounty and nourishing your guts with some friendly microbes! All participants will sample a variety of fermented foods and prepare a fermented food to take home. The cost of the class includes the cost of materials.
