This Zoom Based mini-intensive in three segments will introduce you to the essentials and foolproof basics of organic gardening.

The Real Dirt: Soil Health and Preparation
The gardener’s adage is “feed the soil, not the plant”  Healthy soil is the basis for organic gardening and the focus of todays first segment will be the many methods of breathing life into your native soils.  We’ll learn about soil types, tilling and amending, composting, compost tea, sheet mulching, cover crops and more.

Grow Plants: Seeds & Starts
We’ll focus on what to grow and how to grow it.  Timing of planting, Cool & Warm season crops, how to pick a good “start.”  how to succeed with seeds and much more.

Maintain:  Water , Weeds & Pests
Once your garden is in the ground, gardening does not end.  Learn how to maintain your garden for success and harvest your bounty through the season.

Cost:  $25-50 per segment or $75-150 for the day.  No one turned away.
