On Sunday November 24, join Slow Food East Bay to eat a delicious Mexican meal highlighting the complexity & variety of the cuisine. Our chefs for the evening, from El Huarache Azteca and La Oaxaquena, will cook traditional foods and talk indigenous food traditions and the history of the Mexican land, and share stories of food entrepreneurship and the strength of the immigrant work ethic. Our partner organization for the evening is Refugee & Immigrant Transitions, providing education, family engagement & community leadership program services, rooted in the view that newcomers bring innumerable assets & skills to their new home in the US.
