Sea Change Panel Discussion – Plastic Straws to Local Laws

Join an engaging panel on solutions to plastic pollution and learn about Berkeley’s groundbreaking Single Use Foodware and Litter Reduction Ordinance.

Plastic Pollution Coalition presents the film, STRAWS, plus additional short videos, followed by a panel discussion about solutions to plastic pollution and Berkeley’s groundbreaking Single Use Foodware and Litter Reduction Ordinance. This phased-in ordinance is focused on reduction and reuse.

Be part of an engaging conversation with the key players who created and led its groundbreaking passage.

“We cannot recycle our way out of the disposable foodware problem. We have to focus on reduction,” noted Martin Bourque, Executive Director of Berkeley’s Ecology Center and chief strategist for the ordinance.
