Ecology Center Event

We are excited to announce the 1st Annual BUSD Climate Faire, which will be held on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 from 10-2 PM in the Longfellow Middle School cafeteria! The Faire (organized by staff members from Willard, King & Longfellow middle schools) will include student projects, a plant sale, activities promoting eco-friendly practices, info re: climate solutions & climate justice, live music, and healthy food. We welcome parent & student participation!

Stop by the Ecology Center’s booth to learn about our programming and electrification, and catch a live induction demonstration. Moving away from gas appliances is good for your indoor air quality and the health of our planet, and now there are more incentives than ever to go electric!

Plus – get ready for National Bike Month in Bay by bringing your bike to get a tune up! Biketopia and Alameda County Bikemobile will both be present to do bike tuning and repair. If you have clothes in need of repair instead, stop by the hand sewing repair booth for buttons, patches, and more.
