Sunday | October 18, 2020 | 11:00 am — 1:30 pm

Has a family member of your ever opened the full fridge and commented “there is nothing to eat!”? Our experiences and a short movie will serve as an incentive to invent tasty meals from left-overs before they land in the compost.
After her highly acclaimed “Simple Culinary Delights from Food Scraps” class, Stop Waste Environmental Educator, Chef Helga Alessio, in the third of this 4-part cooking series, will explore the many ways that you can intercept the Food Waste cycle right in your own kitchen.
Join the Zero Waste Kitchen Challenge and learn how to track and reduce your own food waste while learning how to plan and prepare a meal from leftovers. At the end of the class everyone will enjoy the gourmet dishes they have made.
Sample menu (subject to change):
- Rainbow Vegetable Frittata
- Lentil, Apple and Kale Salad
