Community Tree Maintenance Day at Aquatic Park

Come work with PRW staff to help maintain the over 1,000 new trees and large shrubs planted at the west side of Aquatic Park in 2024.

In 2024, Berkeley volunteers helped to plant over 1,000 native trees, shrubs, and plants along the westside of Aquatic Park. Come join Berkeley staff to help maintain this growing resource by weeding and adding mulch to these new plants. All of these new trees and plants are doing great after a year in the ground. Come show them your support as they continue to grow habitat and fresh air in the park.

Event Schedule:

• 9:15 AM: Check-in at the Kenneth A. Hayes Boathouse.
• 9:30 AM: Welcome & Announcements, Safety Meeting, Work Demonstration and Instruction, Group/Work Assignments, Tool Handout
• 10:00 AM: The work begins!
• 11:30 AM: Lunch
• 12:30 PM: Cleanup site and pack up.
