Berkeley Bay Festival

Saturday | April 16, 2016 | 11:00 am — 4:00 pm

Shorebird Park, Berkeley Marina | 160 University Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94710

The City of Berkeley, Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department and the Marina Experience Program present the Bay Festival, at the Berkeley Marina.

This wonderful free event first happened 79 years ago when the Marina first opened in 1937. The Bay Festival now showcases activities and environmental education that are available here at the Marina and all around the region. Come celebrate the Earth and our Bay by listening to music, eating wonderful food, and enjoying a day by the Bay.

Held outdoors in Shorebird Park, this event is for all ages, providing information about “green” building as well as summer program offerings and locations for educational trips. Do you miss fishing on the Berkeley pier?, come see the E.B.R.P.D mobile fresh water fish exhibit. Make sure you stop by our classroom to see our salt water native fish tanks and fresh water native fish tanks. The Adventure Playground will be open for children to build with hammers, nails, saws and paint (with parental supervision), Dragon Boats and Cal Sailing Club provided a splashing experience in the Bay.

The Ecology Center will be tabling — please join us at this great outdoor event!
