Handmade Beeswax Wrap Gifts & Planet Friendly Gift Wrap
Saturday | September 04, 2021 | 11:00 am — 12:30 pm
A unique, beautiful and planet friendly gift!
Homemade Beeswax wraps are an alternative to plastic cling wrap & bags. They are washable, reusable, won’t tear and a step you can make in your life to curb plastic pollution and help your friends and family to do the same.
In this hands-on ONLINEworkshop, Jamie Andrade returns to the Ecology Center Classroom to give step by step instructions on how to create your own reusable beeswax wraps to give as a unique and planet friendly gift. Perfect for your hostess, friends, family, teachers, work colleagues anyone else on your holiday gift list. Or as a stocking stuffer that will teach kids and grandkids about how plastics affect our environment while they wrap their lunch ingredients.
Gather the ingredients yourself from the list that will sent to you when you register, or pre-pay and pick up your beeswax wrap kit at the Ecology Center Store prior to class. The kit includes everything you will need to create a set of 4-6 beeswax wraps during the workshop.
At the close the workshop you will be introduced to the century’s old Japanese tradition of Furoshiki, a Zero Waste method of gift wrap and a beautiful way to bundle and transport your presents waste-free.
