Indigenous Permaculture is welcoming elders from the Achi Maya farmer’s organization, Quachuu Aloom, from Guatemala and they invite you to come learn about their work. We will harvest the amaranth and the elders will present about the importance of Amaranth to communities and diets around the world. Amaranth is traditional grain that is high in protein and nutrients. Join them for a day of Amaranth harvesting, learning, sharing, and tasting! Sliding scale donations of $10-15 accepted. No one turned away for lack of funds.
