YSI’s Nature Center is located in Vasona Park and is open to the public. This beautiful park is home to Vasona Lake and a rich variety of birds, riparian plants and aquatic animals.
Exhibits at YSI include animals that live in and around the lake and a dinosaur display. The Viola Anderson Native Plant Trail provides information on plants native to Northern California. During the summer YSI’s Vasona Center has science day camps. During the school year, after-school science classes are held daily.
