Non-profit research garden and museum for the UC Berkeley with a diverse plant collection including many rare and endangered plants. The Garden, which is open to the public year round and offers frequent garden tours, has over 13,000 different kinds of plants from around the world, cultivated by region in naturalistic landscapes over its 34 acres.
They have a Garden Store that sells seeds, garden tools and various other gardening items. They also have a book store on the grounds. Offers a Sick Plant Clinic on the first Saturday of the month. Every Thursday morning between 9am and 11am at the potting shed, the garden volunteers sell plants. Several volunteering opportunities are listed under the Get Involved section of the web site.
