A non-profit educational center and biodiversity-focused farm founded by a group of biologists, artists, activists, educators, and horticulturists. OAEC’s programs offer innovative and practical solutions to the pressing environmental, economic and social challenges of our day. The Center offers a School Garden Teacher Training and Support program. OAEC also offers site rental for private retreats, classes and conferences. Groups are provided with access to the OAEC facilities, including meeting room, dining room, gardens, hot tub, sauna, pond, and backcountry trails on 80 acres. The facility is best suited for groups of up to 22 people. They also have a permaculture program, new nursery and greenhouse, and a community radio station 107.3 FM KOWS. We offer three plant sales annually, the Spring, Summer and Fall sales.
Has a Garden Volunteer day every Wednesday from 10am-5pm.
