National Marine Sanctuaries “Ocean Guardian” Schools

NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries is offering “Ocean Guardian” grants of up to $6,000 to California schools whose students create a
school or community-based conservation project that protects their local watershed and the ocean.
How to Become an Ocean Guardian School —
Eligible schools: Any school (K-12) located in the California counties of Marin, San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, can become an Ocean Guardian School. Grant amounts range in the amount of $2,000 – $6,000 per school depending on level of the project and number of classes/grades involved.
