Friends of Five Creeks works in the Blackberry (Baxter Creek), Middle, Village and Cerrito Creeks in the Albany, Berkeley, Richmond, and Kensington areas.
They are a group of residents within watersheds of Cerrito, Middle, Village, Marin, and Codornices Creeks. Objectives are to raise awareness and involve the community in creek-related issues: monitoring water quality, preserving and enhancing wildlife habitat, and restoring creeks to a more natural condition. Organizes volunteer restoration work parties, informative walks and lectures.
