EcoHouse is an ecological demonstration home and resource center that showcases both traditional and modern methods of environmentally healthy living including: ecological building, organic gardening, community stability, sustainable materials, solar energy education, and healthy living. In 2006, the EcoHouse received the first permit in the state of California for a residential constructed wetlands/greywater system. It is also the first permitted residential greywater system in Berkeley. The EcoHouse is a private residence and only open to the public during scheduled events.
