Delta Diablo Sanitation District was originally formed in 1955 to protect the health of the public and the environment by collecting and effectively treating wastewater. Treated effluent is discharged into New York Slough, a section of the San Joaquin River. The District serves nearly 200,000 East Contra Costa County residents (Antioch, Bay Point, Pittsburg). The District’s core services include: Wastewater Treatment, Recycled Water, Household Hazardous Waste, Street Sweeping & Stormwater.
