Animal services provides field services for the cities of Berkeley and Albany and shelters animals from Berkeley, Albany, Piedmont, and Emeryville. Services are provided seven days a week (holidays included) and include the enforcement of city ordinances related to animals, removal of killed or injured wildlife, impoundment of stray pets, and investigation of animal-related neglect, cruelty, nuisance and bite cases.
