California Coastal Conservancy

Improves public access to the coast and bay shores by building trails and stairways on acquired land and easements. Also seeks to create low-cost accommodations along the coast such as campgrounds and hostels. Protects and enhances coastal wetlands, streams and watersheds. Restores urban waterfronts for public use and coastal dependent industries, especially commercial fishing. Resolves coastal land use conflicts. Acquires and holds environmentally valuable coastal lands for purposes that are in accordance with the Coastal Act. Protects agricultural lands.
