For groups already organized, in the process of preparing, or want to get ready.
The Network was created for the purpose of: Assisting interested individuals/groups in organizing, and “fizzled” groups in reestablishing themselves. Informing and educating Network participants on multiple issues of concern to them. Developing uniform best practices and procedures. Determining the areas of Berkeley not presently organized and assisting these neighborhoods developing a response capability. Assisting established groups in spreading their reach into adjacent neighborhoods in order to set up an expanded disaster response capability.
