We have had several exciting successes this year, as we continued to provide daily direct services to our community. Our classes and events have received record attendance, our farmers’ markets finished the year strong, and we continue to advance our Zero Waste goals. We succeeded in passing legislation in Sacramento (AB 1321) that will help low income shoppers get access to fresh healthy foods, and we have expanded Market Match, our healthy food incentives program, across the state! None of this would have been possible without support from individual members and donors.
We are making strides on clean, local, renewable energy that has been highlighted from here to Paris. We hosted 11 events and created a video to build drought-savvy resilience and knowledge in our community, offering solutions for a future with an uncertain climate.
And through all this, we have been developing the young leaders we will need to solve the problems of tomorrow.
We would not be able to do this important work without your support. If you have already donated this year, thank you. We are looking forward to all that we can do together in 2016!
With Gratitude,
Staff and Board of the Ecology Center
