We’ve got two events for your consideration this Saturday, June 23rd. First up, in the morning at the EcoHouse, we will have a tour and discussion of all the water saving features incorporated into the yard there. If you’re curious to learn more about rainwater catchment, greywater and rain garden features, this class will provide a great overview and help you bring home ideas to make your own yard a water saving site. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP, click here for details.
In the afternoon, some of our Ecology Center staff will be showcasing their poetic talents alongside other local luminaries. Strength in Diversity: The Poetry of Ecology is a free, multi-cultural, multi generational reading by six poets. This is a very special chance to hear original works in the poets’ own voices, including Adam David Miller, Kim Shuck, Kirk Lumpkin, Jahan Khalighi, Nakia “Precious Gift” Dillard, and a poet from Youth Speaks. This event starts at 2 PM, you won’t want to be late! Click here for more details.
