Renters, Go Green! Save on Water, Energy, Waste and More, 7/16/13

20130706gogreen You don’t have to own a house to live comfortably, affordably, and efficiently. With just a little support from community organizations, you can make cost-saving energy upgrades in your apartment, help keep waste out of landfills, green your living space, and save money all at the same time! Learn about all the resources available to you (or your tenants) at the upcoming Go Green Expo for Renters at the Ecology Center, Tuesday, July 16th.

Join representatives from Rising Sun Energy Center, Community Energy Services Corps, the City of Berkeley Recycling Program, Stopwaste.org, the Ecology Center and others, to hear about low-cost, high impact steps you can take as a renter. The program includes short presentations followed by a chance to get your personal questions answered.

This event is sponsored by the Berkeley Climate Action Coalition (BCAC), a strong and growing network of local organizations and community members joining together to implement the City of Berkeley’s ambitious, fifty-year Climate Action Plan. We include residents, non-profits, the City of Berkeley, neighborhood groups, faith based organizations, schools, businesses, UC Berkeley, and others.

We hope you will bring along a fellow renter to this free event. For more details, click here.
