Our annual celebration will be better than ever at the South Berkeley market’s new location. This years line up includes live music by Asheba, Aztec dance by Cuauhtli Mitotiani Mexica, free all ages costumes with the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, and a Day of the Dead Altar. The altar has been organized by the Bay Area Hispano Institute for Advancement (BAHIA), and the public is invited to contribute offerings of any kind to celebrate with us as our community honors life, farmers’ labor, and those that have sacrificed their health and lives for our well being and for food justice. We hope you will celebrate with us on October 30th from 2 – 6:30 PM. For more information about this free event, click here.
