This coming Thursday evening, Lori Eames will be sharing photos and stories from her new “Backyard Roots” book. The book has beautiful snapshots of urban farms all along the West Coast, with many familiar Bay Area locals featured. Kitty Sharkey, whose urban farm is in East Oakland, will be bringing two of her Nigerian dwarf goats by to visit the event! Berkeleyside also interviewed the author, which provides a great sneak peek of what’s to come on Thursday. This free event will be 7 – 9 PM, May 9th at 2530 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley.
