We’ve been finding out exactly which of our cold-weather clothes we wear these past few weeks. The less-loved garments don’t need to languish, though – there’s a better use for them. The Ecology Center is partnering with One Warm Coat to host a winter coat drive this holiday season. In the spirit of reuse and giving, bring your clean, gently used coats to the Ecology Center November 27th – December 20th, and put them in our coat bin. We’ll be donating our collected coats to Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS), a local organization serving homeless and recently homeless members of our community.
Please drop off clean and gently used (or new!) coats and jackets at the Ecology Center during our open hours: Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm. Farmers’ Market shoppers can also drop off coats at the Ecology Center booth at any of the three Ecology Center Farmers’ Market locations during market hours.
We have been very impressed with the generosity of our community during past years’ coat drives. Please help us make this year another success!
