350 Bay Area and Sunflower Alliance are hosting a Climate Conference, Dirty Energy, Clean Solutions this weekend. Mark Jacobson, Stanford professor, plus thirty-one other expert scientists and activists will present cutting-edge information that will significantly raise our effectiveness as climate activists. Friday: (San Francisco: Unitarian Universalist Church) The Conference will start with a special speaking engagement Friday night May 9th, featuring Stanford Professor Mark Jacobson, who has a science-based plan to get to 100% renewable energy by 2050.
Saturday: (Oakland: Laney College) A full Saturday conference schedule is being prepared covering current topics in the climate movement, including: Fracking, Fossil Fuel Infrastructure expansions (Oil By rail, Coal exports), Strategy Sessions on how to counter. Lunch is included on Saturday.
Sunday: (Oakland: Laney College) Various trainings and break-out sessions
