Save the date for Wednesday, February 25th, to join our Annual Meeting for Members. This once-a-year event is our chance to feed, thank, and share with our members, who support all of our work, every day, all year. We look forward to it as a chance to get to know our members better, and to share the highlights of our recent work.
On this year’s program, we’ll be hearing about our expanded Youth Development program, and our statewide Food & Farming work, which has also been growing by leaps and bounds. We’re very excited to have one of our members ready to share his music with us, check out Gautam Ganeshan’s recent interview from KALW for a sneak peek. There will be delicious food, drinks, as well as dessert from our favorite sweet makers at the Farmers’ Market.
If you are already a member, please save the date, and RSVP to leah@ecologycenter.org. If you are not a member, please consider joining, we’d love to have you be a part of this special event, and part of our organization for the long run. As one member recently wrote,
The Ecology Center is one of my favorite things. They pioneered curbside recycling more than forty years ago, and still continue to operate Berkeley’s weekly pickup, one of the few non-profits in the country to remain in the recycling business.
They also run all of Berkeley’s farmers’ markets, host the Bay Area seed interchange library (BASIL), and maintain an excellent bookstore with household goods and gardening supplies that are vetted with heart and sure not to be greenwashed.
In short, you should become a member today – it’s way cooler than Netflix!
