Gather Your Coats for the Winter Coat Drive!

20141126plaid Our Store will be open this Friday, which is a big day to support small, local businesses as part of Plaid Friday – the alternative to big store frenzy of Black Friday. We’ll be open 11 – 6 Friday through Sunday this weekend. We carry useful and innovative products to support your sustainable home, body and environment. A gift from our Store feels extra good to give and receive.

Also, Friday launches our Winter Coat Drive! In the spirit of reuse and giving, bring your gently worn coats to the Ecology Center November 28th – December 24th, and put them in our coat bin. We’ll be donating our collected coats to local organization Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS). They serve homeless and recently homeless members of our community, and are very excited about our coat drive!

Please drop off clean and gently used (or new!) coats and jackets, as well as rain gear, sweaters, and men’s socks, at the Ecology Center during our open hours: Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm. Farmers’ Market shoppers can also drop off coats at the Ecology Center booth during the drive.

Happy Thanksgiving, we hope to receive your donated coats, and send you home with gifts, on Friday or this weekend.
