Come Learn About Berkeley’s Climate Action Plan at City Council Meeting this Tuesday, 11/13/12

There’s nothing timid about Berkeley’s Climate Action Plan. Widely considered to be among the boldest and best Climate Action Plans in the US, Berkeley’s CAP aims for an ambitious 33% reduction below 2000 levels in citywide greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 and an 80% reduction by 2050. Though we are making great progress, the road ahead is still long.

Come on out to the November 13th City Council to learn more about the CAP, our progress to date, and what we need to do to achieve deep reductions. City staff will present an updated analysis designed to illustrate CAP implementation scenarios that would set the community on a path to achieving its ambitious targets. Staff will also present a plan for helping ensure that the City is effectively tracking and reporting CAP implementation progress and making informed, coordinated decisions about how to prioritize CAP strategies.

We hope to see you there!
