CALPIRG Launches Statewide Bag Ban Campaign

After a victory earlier this year with the successful passing of a county-wide bag ban, organizers at CALPIRG are focusing their efforts on a statewide campaign. The Ecology Center’s Executive Director, Martin Bourque, was at the press conference announcing the campaign, which is focusing on the impact the twelve billion bags used annually in California have on ocean wildlife and ultimately, our health.
